Susan Cornelis is a water media artist in north Sebastopol, California. Her "Studio in the Orchard" is a bright yellow building surrounded by fruit trees and garden with a view of the beautiful Russian River vineyards and coastal mountains. ATTENTION READERS!
Recently there have been a rash of "phishing" emails being sent to the artist community in the name of a local artist that you may know. These emails are not really from the artist.

Phishing emails are crafted to appear as if they have been sent from a legitimate organization or known individual. These emails often attempt to entice users to click on a link that will take the user to a fraudulent web site that appears legitimate. The user then may be asked to provide personal information such as account usernames and passwords that can further expose them to future compromises. Additionally, these fraudulent web sites may contain malicious code. "

Take care in clicking on a link or opening an attachment. If it seems suspicious, delete it. Read here how to take steps to report the scam.
